Introduction to

Cognity

Cognity is an AI collaboration workspace for schools and universities, and an alternative to AI detection for academic integrity. Build the lesson in a minute. Write one sentence and Cognity turns it into an assignment with a rubric and guardrails. Students join with a single link — no accounts, no rosters, no setup. Safety at the engine. K-12-tuned classifiers screen every prompt and response before it reaches a student, with age-appropriate calibration from primary to university. Off-task and at-risk conversations surface to the teacher and the safeguarding team in real time, with full context. Three ways to use the same workspace: - Teaching — a live feed of every student conversation, with an optional prompt-approval queue. Built for the first time a student ever uses generative AI. - Assessment — every prompt, AI response and revision recorded in order. Instead of guessing whether a student used ChatGPT, you grade against a rubric with the process attached. AI detectors score finished prose and are wrong most often about students writing in a second language, so the same students are questioned again and again. A record has no equivalent failure: it shows what happened rather than inferring it. - Projects — students brainstorm, write their own success criteria, and build with AI as a thinking partner. The decisions, pivots and debugging are kept. Built to pass IT and legal review. SSO via Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, SCIM provisioning, roster sync with Google Classroom, LTI 1.3. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and never used to train models, with EU, APAC and Americas hosting options. PIPA, PDPO, PDPA, APPI and UK Age-Appropriate Design Code aligned. Seven-language interface. Free for an individual teacher. School and university plans add school-wide controls, an admin dashboard and pooled usage. Built by CT Corp. (Seoul), making classroom software since 2012. Cognity is included in the Inter-American Development Bank's 2026 catalogue of South Korean EdTech solutions for AI and digital transformation in education.
