  • How is EMA being promoted? How will EMA create sufficient traffic to the website?
    Since EMA has only been launched on 1 Jan 2023, efforts for EMA promotion have only recently started. Promoting EMA as the One-Stop-Marketplace for technology in Education in Asia will be a long and continuous effort, which must be taken in collaboration with many partners and through multiple outreach activities. As a start, EMA will be actively promoted to the 1,500+ members of the Singapore Education Network and its social media and outreach channels. Further, the “Teacher meets Tech” initiative will actively utilize EMA for professional development and awareness purposes. This initiative is currently implemented in Singapore and Indonesia and will be expanded to other countries in 2024. EMA has set up the “EMA Supporting Partners” network and organizations like AWS, GESS Asia, DIDACTA Asia, Transcend Network and many more are supporting EMA with outreach and promotion. Also, EMA representatives are actively attending and promoting EMA to educators and other stakeholders in education through large conferences and exhibitions like BETT Asia, GESS Dubai, EDUtech Asia, THE Digital Universities, DIDACTA Asia, Education Korea etc. EMA will work with a wide range of partners such as teacher networks, school and university associations, conferences and events, governments and NGOs to promote EMA.

  • I am looking for online courses and programmes on EdTech Marketplace Asia (EMA) but cannot find any.
    That is correct as EMA is not an online learning portal or other virtual educational platform. EMA is NOT a course catalogue. However, EMA will have Online Learning Portals and other virtual educational platforms as “solutions” on its website. Please look at the categories of “Online Learning Portal” or “Virtual School” for companies offering online learning resources and programmes. Also, you can search for “Online Learning Portal” or “Virtual School” AND “Subjects” to find subject offerings of your interest.

Improving competency in adopting suitable technology in the educational setting is one of the most important skills, which educators need to acquire and continue to improve. If you are a teacher (or have teaching responsibilities) and you are based in Singapore or Indonesia, you can join the “Teacher meets Tech” Professional Development initiative. Teacher meets Tech is an Initiative to support Teachers & Educators in navigating through the "jungle" of EdTech and Tech in Education.​ It is a Teacher & Educator driven initiative aiming to improve suitable and effective adoption of tech-enabled solutions in Schools and other education institutions.   • Why should you list your product on EdTech Marketplace Asia (EMA)?
    There are so many EdTech products and solutions available but how do EdTech Users find suitable products and can compare different products? We need to support EdTech Users in improving their understanding of available solutions and guide their search according to their interest and specifications. This will support in making better decisions, which solution is best suited to meet the EdTech Users needs and expectations. EMA is this platform to help and support EdTech Users and consequently EdTech Providers. Your products will be easily accessible and visible for any potential EdTech User, which helps in product and brand awareness.
  • What EdTech products & solutions can be listed on EMA?
    Good question and not that easy to answer as it seems. The product can be hardware or software. The basic requirements are: The product is a technology-enabled solution for the education sector The product is aimed at the education sector and/ or has clearly educational features The product is market ready, live and operational. No test products, alpha or beta versions or similar products The product is suitable for the Asian market (1 Asian country sufficient) Ineligible for EMA listing are: Courses, workshops, conferences Technology-products, which are generic and industry agnostic Services (EMA will have a EdTech Services page soon) EdTech Marketplace Asia retains the right to reject any product submission, which do not meet above-mentioned criteria or for other reasons.
  • Does EMA focus on any particular product segment, country or target group?
    No, our mission and objective is to become the go-to-marketplace in Asia for anything in education with an association to technology. This will not be achieved overnight and requires many efforts by EMA, partners and clients. Our initial focus will mainly be on South East Asia but this can change fast depending on the success of upcoming partnerships.
  • Do I need to pay to list my products on EMA?
    Product listing under the Basic Plan is FREE. Product listing under Premium Plan will come with annual listing fee. However, as we are still building a larger EdTech User base and traffic for EMA, everyone can enjoy FREE premium until 30 June 2024.
