Scratch

Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations. Scratch is designed especially for ages 8 to 16, but is used by people of all ages. Scratch promotes computational thinking and problem solving skills; creative teaching and learning; self-expression and collaboration; and equity in computing. Scratch is always free and is available in more than 70 languages. Scratch is available to be used by educators, parents and students who would like to learn and interact more about coding. Here's how each users can be benefited by Scratch: 1. Educators Scratch offers resources for educators through our Educator Guides and Creative Computing. By leveraging these resources, your students can use Scratch to code their own interactive stories, animations, and games. 2. Parents and students Scratch offers programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. In the process, they learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively  — essential skills for everyone in today’s society.
