Immersive Reader is a tool within Microsoft Education designed to enhance reading and comprehension for learners of all ages and abilities. Part of Microsoft's Learning Tools, Immersive Reader offers a set of features to make reading easier, especially for students with learning differences like dyslexia, ADHD, or for those learning new languages. It is integrated across several Microsoft products, including Word, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, and more. Through Immersive Reader you can get features such as 1. Translate webpages in Immersive Reader Read content seamlessly in other languages with Immersive Reader. To translate an entire webpage, select Enter Immersive Reader in the address bar, then select Reading preferences. Choose your desired language and toggle Translate entire page. Over 70 languages are available. 2. Read in comfort by making the web adapt to you Improve your reading fluency by making the web content adapt to you. Text preferences in Immersive Reader allows you to adjust the text size, spacing, font, and theme of web pages. Open Immersive Reader, then select Text preferences to start adjusting content. 3. Remove distractions so you can focus on reading Immersive Reader removes the clutter online, such as ads and website navigation, so you can focus on your reading. You can also use Reading preferences > Line focus to highlight specific lines on the page as you scroll 4. Use Immersive Reader to help with comprehension Use the Picture Dictionary, under Reading Preferences in Immersive Reader to quickly understand words you come across or highlight parts of speech under Grammar Tools to improve comprehension while you read. These are excellent tools to use when you're learning a new language.
